Homestead Trails Celebration is held in Moundridge, KS in October. Part of this event allows people to experience aspects of how daily life was lived many years ago. There are demonstrations on blacksmithing and rope making, horse rides and milking cows, as well as a mountain man camp.
In addition, there is also food and music. Ross got to be a part of the music portion. Here he is, center, with other banjo students of Ty Kaufman, getting ready to perform. Ross has been taking banjo lessons for several years and enjoys the music. Some of the pieces they played were Blackberry Blossom, Cripple Creek, Will the Circle Be Unbroken and Ernest T. Grass.
